{"id":21672,"date":"2023-12-28T13:13:12","date_gmt":"2023-12-28T08:13:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=21672"},"modified":"2023-12-28T13:13:12","modified_gmt":"2023-12-28T08:13:12","slug":"lahore-ring-road-toll-tax-hikes-by-20-percent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/lahore-ring-road-toll-tax-hikes-by-20-percent\/","title":{"rendered":"Lahore Ring Road toll tax hikes by 20 percent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: As part of a slew of economic measures, Punjabi authorities have raised the toll tax on the Lahore Ring Road in response to rises in the cost of cars, gas, and license fees.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/prra.punjab.gov.pk\/\">Lahore Ring Road Authority<\/a> has increased tolls on a variety of vehicles, including heavy trucks and private automobiles, by twenty percent.<\/p>\n<p>Private vehicles and jeeps will now pay a toll of Rs. 60 per trip instead of the previous Rs. 50 due to a hike of Rs. 10.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, coasters and passenger vans will now pay Rs. 120 instead of Rs. 100, a rise of Rs. 20.<\/p>\n<p>For passenger buses, the toll tax has been elevated by Rs. 50, making the new total Rs. 300, compared to the previous Rs. 250.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the toll tax for loader trucks, pick-ups, and dumpers has surged from Rs. 300 to Rs. 360, marking a significant Rs. 60 rise.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, heavy vehicles face the steepest increase, with their toll tax soaring to Rs. 600 from the previous Rs. 500, representing a substantial inflation of Rs. 100.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3 project is expected to be finished in just 5 months<\/p>\n<p>Read More:\u00a0<em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/cold-foggy-weather-to-prevail.html\">Cold, foggy weather to prevail<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Previously, there were court cases surrounding the project, but they have now been resolved, clearing the way for its progress.<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s path through Bahria Town received tremendous support from the housing society all obstacles have been removed, and the entire area for the project is now clear.<\/p>\n<p>The completion of the Ring Road Southern Loop 3 will significantly ease traffic congestion for those travelling from South Punjab to Lahore, relieving pressure on Thokar and Canal Road.
