{"id":2369,"date":"2021-09-18T15:52:42","date_gmt":"2021-09-18T15:52:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=2369"},"modified":"2021-09-18T15:52:42","modified_gmt":"2021-09-18T15:52:42","slug":"pia-plane-lands-in-damascus-after-22-year-hiatus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pia-plane-lands-in-damascus-after-22-year-hiatus\/","title":{"rendered":"PIA plane lands in Damascus after 22-year hiatus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan International Airline (PIA) carrying pilgrims landed in Damascus after 22 years, the airline&#8217;s CEO said on Saturday.<br \/>\nSharing an 11-second video on his social media handle, PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik wrote on Twitter: \u201cAlhamdolillah, after 22 years, PIA landed in #Damascus, with #pilgrims\u201d.<br \/>\nThe CEO said that the resumption of flights \u201cwith an aim to promote religious tourism [and] restore relations with Syria [is] in line with the vision of @ImranKhanPTI [and] @GovtofPakistan.\u201d<br \/>\nMalik also acknowledged the efforts of his team, saying: \u201cSalute to Ambassador Air [Marshal] Saeed M Khan for his great support.
