He called for urgent solid steps to overcome the issue.<br \/>\nHe said this day raises awareness of the cause and severity of Alzheimer\u2019s disease. The President said Alzheimer\u2019s disease is a degenerative brain condition that gradually deteriorates memory loss and cognitive abilities.<br \/>\nHe said it is the most frequent cause of dementia in aged people and also a progressive illness that causes death.<br \/>\nPresident Dr. Arif Alvi said Alzheimer\u2019s disease is irreversible and it gradually affects memory badly and thinking skills.
