{"id":2797,"date":"2021-09-27T12:15:54","date_gmt":"2021-09-27T12:15:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=2797"},"modified":"2021-09-27T12:15:54","modified_gmt":"2021-09-27T12:15:54","slug":"after-corona-outbreak-punjab-reports-1000-dengue-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/health\/after-corona-outbreak-punjab-reports-1000-dengue-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"After corona outbreak Punjab reports 1000 dengue cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Punjab Health department has revealed that dengue cases across the province crossed 1000 figure on Monday.<br \/>\nThe total number of dengue virus cases are one thousand as province reported 44 new fresh cases on Monday morning.<br \/>\nSpokesperson of the Punjab Primary and Secondary Health Care Department has said that in today\u2019s new 44 dengue cases, 12 reported from Lahore, 18 from Rawalpindi, four from Attock, three from Vehari and one each from Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Chakwal, Jhang, Multan, Khanewal and Okara.<br \/>\nPunjab Secretary Health Imran Sikandar Baloch has said that dengue prevention activities have been intensified across the province.<br \/>\nSo far this year, 1,126 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported from across Punjab, the health secretary shared. Of these, 917 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported from Lahore.<br \/>\nBaloch confirmed that currently, there are 88 dengue patients in hospitals across the province, of whom 51 dengue patients are admitted in hospitals in Lahore, 29 in Rawalpindi, three in Sargodha, two in Multan and one each in Bahawalpur, Faisalabad and Attock.<br \/>\n&#8216;Precaution against dengue very important during monsoon season&#8217;<br \/>\nPrecautionary measures against the dengue virus are very important during the ongoing monsoon season, the health secretary emphasised.<br \/>\nHe called for citizens to take more responsibility to prevent dengue during the monsoon season, asking them not to let rainwater accumulate in residential areas.<br \/>\nBaloch urged the public to be as wary of precautionary measures against dengue as with coronavirus.<br \/>\nHe also made an appeal to all religious scholars of Punjab to inform worshipers visiting mosques about measures for the prevention of dengue.<br \/>\n&#8220;Prove to be a responsible citizen and keep your surroundings clean,&#8221; Baloch said, adding that dengue mosquito breeding can be controlled by taking care of cleanliness.<br \/>\n<em><strong>Read more:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-reports-42-deaths-in-the-last-24-hours-by-novel-coronavirus.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pakistan reports 42 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Punjab Health department has revealed that dengue cases across the province crossed 1000 figure on Monday.
