{"id":3178,"date":"2021-10-10T11:12:58","date_gmt":"2021-10-10T11:12:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=3178"},"modified":"2021-10-10T11:12:58","modified_gmt":"2021-10-10T11:12:58","slug":"dr-abdul-qadeer-khan-funeral-prayers-offered-at-grand-faisal-mosque","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/dr-abdul-qadeer-khan-funeral-prayers-offered-at-grand-faisal-mosque\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan funeral prayers offered at Grand Faisal Mosque"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Funeral prayers of Pakistani nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has been offered at Faisal Mosque in the federal capital.<\/p>\n<p>According to details, the national hero will be buried in H-8 graveyard as per the decision of his family.<\/p>\n<p>In recognition of his outstanding services for the country and the nation, the government had announced a state funeral for him and as per a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, the national flag of Pakistan shall fly at half-mast on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, who was ill from some time, passed away today at the age of 86.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Qadeer Khan was considered the father of Pakistan\u2019s nuclear program and is revered at home as a hero for building the Muslim world\u2019s first atomic bomb.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Khan\u2019s health started to deteriorate last night, after which he was brought to hospital in the morning.
