The petition stated that the current electoral college is incomplete and therefore &#8216;unconstitutional&#8217; to hold Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman elections as Senate polls were postponed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).<\/p>\n<p>The party urged the court to postpone the polls in the upper house of Parliament till the election on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s Senate seats.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/president-summons-senate-session-on-april-9-for-oath-taking\/\">President summons Senate session on April 9 for oath-taking<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>PTI has also filed a request in the Senate Secretariat against the Senate chairman and deputy chairman polls. The petitions were filed by PTI Senators Falak Naz Chitrali, Saif Abroo, Zarqa Taimur, Fozia Arshad, and Saifullah Niazi.<\/p>\n<p>However, the IHC Registrar&#8217;s Office has raised objections to the petition filed by PTI. The Registrar&#8217;s Office maintained that KP\u2019s Senate seat case is already under proceeding at Peshawar High Court (PHC). \u201cFor the election of the K-P senate seats, the PHC should be approached,\u201d IHC observed.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, PTI&#8217;s political committee decided to boycott the election of the chairman and deputy chairman Senate. PTI has termed the elections unconstitutional.
