The federal government has decided to appoint \u00a0Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa as the new Commissioner of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA).<\/p>\n

In a letter, the Ministry of Interior requested the services of the BPS-20 officer of the PAS Muhammad Ali Randhawa from the Establishment Division.<\/p>\n

As per the notification issued by the Interior Ministry, the senior bureaucrat would be given the responsibilities of the chief commissioner\u2019s office and the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The chief commissioner is also a board member of the CDA, as per the CDA Ordinance.<\/p>\n

In the notification, the Interior Ministry said, “The\u00a0Ministry intends to utilize the services of Ch. Muhammad Ali Randhawa (PAS\/BS-20), Commissioner Lahore, presently at the disposal of the Government of Punjab.”<\/p>\n

\u201cEstablishment Division is therefore requested to post the above-named officer at the disposal of the Ministry of Interior for further posting in Capital Development Authority or Chief Commissioner Office, ICT, Islamabad for smooth functioning of official business,” the notification added.<\/p>\n
