{"id":34236,"date":"2024-04-25T12:43:34","date_gmt":"2024-04-25T07:43:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=34236"},"modified":"2024-04-25T14:41:06","modified_gmt":"2024-04-25T09:41:06","slug":"may-1-to-observer-as-public-holiday-on-labour-day-in-pakistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/may-1-to-observer-as-public-holiday-on-labour-day-in-pakistan\/","title":{"rendered":"May 1 to observe as public holiday on Labour Day in Pakistan?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ISLAMABAD:<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Pakistanis are doubting whether\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">May 1<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0(Wednesday) will be declared a public holiday in honor of Labor Day\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">or not<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">as<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0the federal government has not issued any notification yet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">However,\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">May 1<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">was included<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0as a public holiday in the Cabinet Division\u00a0circular\u00a0listing\u00a0all gazetted holidays for the year 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The government will <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">make a formal announcement<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0that all educational institutions\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">including<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">schools<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0will remain closed across the country on\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the first\u00a0day of May<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The schools in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and\u00a0other areas of the country will observe a public holiday on Wednesday on\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the account\u00a0of<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Labour Day.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Private and public offices will also remain closed on\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">May 1<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.
