It has not shared the reasons for suddenly closing its operations in Lahore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According to a local publication, a<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">spokesperson for Uber said, &#8220;We\u2019ve decided to cease operating the Uber app in Pakistan.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cOur subsidiary brand Careem will continue to operate, with the Careem app offering ride-hailing services across Pakistan and earning opportunities for drivers,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/lahore\/two-lahore-passport-officials-suspended-by-mohsin-naqvi-over-corruption-charges\/\">Two Lahore passport officials suspended by Mohsin Naqvi over corruption charges<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In an email sent to users in Lahore today, Uber said, &#8220;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0had made the difficult decision to no longer offer the Uber app services in Lahore as of April 30.
