QUETTA: The government of Balochistan\u00a0<\/span>officially announced this year\u2019s <\/span>summer vacations<\/span> for schools and colleges on Wednesday as the province<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>battles<\/span>\u00a0an increasingly severe heatwave.<\/span><\/p>\n

To protect students from the scorching heat, the Balochistan Education Department has announced summer holidays\u00a0from May 15.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the notification shared by the Balochistan government, summer vacations will begin on May 15 and will continue till July 31 in heat-prone areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

In cold regions, the educational institutes will observe <\/span>only 10-day vacations that will begin on July 22 and end on July 31.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, summer vacations\u00a0in Punjab are anticipated to\u00a0start on June 7 (Friday) while the schools would reopen on August 19 (Monday).
