{"id":37714,"date":"2024-05-28T12:18:32","date_gmt":"2024-05-28T07:18:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=37714"},"modified":"2024-05-28T12:18:32","modified_gmt":"2024-05-28T07:18:32","slug":"met-forecasts-rain-in-islamabad-parts-of-punjab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/weather\/met-forecasts-rain-in-islamabad-parts-of-punjab\/","title":{"rendered":"Met forecasts rain in Islamabad, parts of Punjab"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted a decrease in <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">severe <\/span>heatwave <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">conditions <\/span>after rain likely to shower upper parts of the country including Islamabad and Punjab from May 28 (today) to June 1.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In a press release on Monday, the Met office said a shallow westerly wave is likely to affect the upper parts of the country on May 28 (today).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Under the influence of this weather system, Duststorm\/thunderstorm with isolated rain is expected in Islamabad\/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha and Mianwali from May 28 to June 1 with occasional gaps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to the Met Office, i<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">n Balochistan, \u201cDuststorm\/thunderstorm is expected in Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Sherani, and Barkhan from May 27 (night) to May 29.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>READ MORE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/weather\/heatwave-in-punjab-pdma-predicts-heatwave-till-27-may\/\">Heatwave in Punjab: PDMA predicts heatwave till 27 May<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to see duststorm\/thunderstorm with isolated rain expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Waziristan, Kohat, Lakki Marwat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Karak, Khyber, Peshawar, Mardan and Kurram during this time period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cRain-wind\/thunderstorm is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar), Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur) from 28th May (evening\/night) to 01st June,\u201d read the forecast.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Duststorm\/gusty winds\u00a0is expected in Karachi, Thatta, Badin\u00a0and Hyderabad on May 28 and 29.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted a decrease in severe heatwave conditions after rain likely to shower upper parts of the country including Islamabad and Punjab from May 28 (today) to June 1.
