ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education<\/a> has announced summer vacations for all educational institutions within the Islamabad Capital Territory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Like other cities, Islamabad is also expected to experience <\/span>above-normal<\/span> temperatures this year due to climate change. The weather<\/span> forecast for\u00a0<\/span>next month shows that the mercury can soar to 41 or 42 in Islamabad, triggering heat waves in the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last year, the federal government <\/span>announced\u00a0summer vacation\u00a0from June 10,\u00a0<\/span>2023,<\/span> to July 31, 2023, with schools reopening on August 1, 2023. This year the federal govt. has issued another notification for summer vacations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Federal educational institutions will remain closed from June 10 to July 31, the Ministry of Education notification said on Friday.<\/p>\n

The announcement applies to all federal schools and colleges in the capital, providing students with a seven-week break.<\/p>\n
