{"id":39584,"date":"2024-06-13T15:46:22","date_gmt":"2024-06-13T10:46:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=39584"},"modified":"2024-06-13T15:46:22","modified_gmt":"2024-06-13T10:46:22","slug":"psx-witnesses-bullish-trend-as-shares-gain-over-2800-points","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/psx-witnesses-bullish-trend-as-shares-gain-over-2800-points\/","title":{"rendered":"PSX witnesses bullish trend as shares gain over 2,800 points"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-detail\">KARACHI: Bulls took control of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday, a day after the government presented the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/budget-2024-25-heres-how-much-tax-has-been-increased-on-your-salary\/\">Federal Budget for FY 2024-25<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The benchmark KSE-100 index saw an upward trajectory of 2809 points, or 3.75 percent during the intra-day trade to stand at 75,608 at 12:47 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts attributed the significant rise to the government\u2019s readiness to unlock a deal with the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/staff-level-agreement-with-imf-likely-in-july-says-finance-minister-in-post-budget-presser\/\">International Monetary Fund<\/a> (IMF) after the budget.<\/p>\n<p>While presenting the federal budget, the Finance Minister said that the key targets of Budget 2024-25 include targeting GDP growth at 3.6 percent, inflation at 12 percent, and budget deficit at 5 percent of GDP.<\/p>\n<p>The government aims to increase revenue, reduce unnecessary expenditure, and shift towards a market-driven economic model.
