Lahore: The price of chicken in Punjab has dropped significantly in the market after Eid ul\u00a0 Adha by Rs. 25 per kilogram, which will be applicable from June 20, 2024.<\/p>\n

Chicken meat\u00a0is one of the most consumed meats in Pakistan. The demand for poultry remains high throughout the year, as it is widely used in all kinds of dishes.<\/p>\n

As per official rates, the price of chicken meat in the local market of Lahore is Rs 350 per kg today.<\/p>\n

The price of the live broiler (wholesale) is now fixed at Rs 300 per kg. Similarly, the price of a live broiler (retail) price is Rs 324.<\/p>\n

The price of a dozen eggs has been marginally increased to Rs. 247. At the same time, a full crate of 350 eggs is priced at Rs 7290 with a significant decrease.<\/p>\n

Lower poultry prices<\/a> can ease financial pressure on consumers and offer more economical choices. However, doubts remain about whether retailers will go ahead with the new rates.<\/p>\n
