GUYANA: After Afghanistan’s historic entry<\/a> into the semifinals of T20 World Cup 2024 for the first time, four semi-finalists of the mega tournament have been decided along with the schedule of the knockout stage.<\/p>\n

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the schedule including the dates, teams, and venues for the semi-final matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago will host the first semi-final at the event between South Africa and Afghanistan on June 26 (8:30pm local).<\/p>\n

South Africa<\/a> finished the Super Eight stage at the top of Group 2 and the Proteas will look to maintain their unbeaten status at the tournament when they take on Afghanistan on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Afghanistan booked their place in the final four after thrashing Bangladesh in the final game of the Super Eights in St Vincent. After scoring 115\/5 in the first innings, Afghanistan bowled out h for 105 in a rBangladesain-affected game, securing an 8-run win (DLS method).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

In the second knockout contest, India will take on defending champions England at Guyana National Stadium, Guyana on June 27 (10:30am local).<\/p>\n<\/header>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

India ensured their spot in the semis with an impressive victory over Australia on Monday and will take on Jos Buttler’s side in a rematch of their one-sided contest at the most recent T20 World Cup in Australia two years ago.<\/p>\n
