{"id":40859,"date":"2024-06-27T20:15:49","date_gmt":"2024-06-27T15:15:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=40859"},"modified":"2024-06-27T20:17:46","modified_gmt":"2024-06-27T15:17:46","slug":"fbr-offices-to-remain-open-till-midnight-to-meet-annual-tax-target","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/fbr-offices-to-remain-open-till-midnight-to-meet-annual-tax-target\/","title":{"rendered":"FBR offices to remain open till midnight to meet annual tax target"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/fbr-to-hike-property-valuation-to-90pc-in-major-cities\/\">Federal Board of Revenue<\/a> (FBR) has stepped up efforts to achieve its annual tax target for the financial year 2023-24 by issuing a directive to ensure comprehensive collection of duties and taxes.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter sent to all concerned offices, the FBR has mandated extension of working hours for the last days of June.<\/p>\n<p>FBR offices across the country, including major taxpayer units and regional offices, will keep their doors open till late night from June 28 to 30.<\/p>\n<p>The directive includes specific instructions for the Chief Commissioners of Land Revenue to liaise closely with the State Bank of Pakistan to facilitate this process.<\/p>\n<p>These initiatives are part of<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/pm-shehbaz-rejects-fbrs-tax-proposals-for-budget-2024-25\/\"> FBR<\/a>&#8216;s concerted efforts to ensure effective collection of all due taxes and duties, thereby helping to achieve the set tax revenue targets for the financial year.<\/p>\n<p>The extended hours are expected to provide ample opportunity to taxpayers to meet their tax obligations, thereby helping the overall fiscal health of the country.<\/p>\n<h2>FBR&#8217;s schedule<\/h2>\n<p>On June 28, offices will remain open until 8 PM.<br \/>\nOn Saturday, June 29, offices will be operational until 6 PM.<br \/>\nOn Sunday, June 30, relevant tax offices are instructed to stay open until 12 midnight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has stepped up efforts to achieve its annual tax target for the financial year 2023-24 by issuing a directive to ensure comprehensive collection of duties and taxes.
