{"id":41127,"date":"2024-06-30T17:15:31","date_gmt":"2024-06-30T12:15:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=41127"},"modified":"2024-06-30T17:17:07","modified_gmt":"2024-06-30T12:17:07","slug":"pakistan-name-15-member-womens-team-squad-for-t20-asia-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/pakistan-name-15-member-womens-team-squad-for-t20-asia-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan name 15-member women&#8217;s team squad for T20 Asia Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has retained Nida Dar as the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/mohammad-wasim-appointed-head-coach-of-pakistan-womens-cricket-team\/\">Pakistan Women Team<\/a> captain as the squad announced for the upcoming ACC <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/pcb-names-fatima-sana-as-captain-for-emerging-womens-t20-asia-cup\/\">Women&#8217;s T20 Asia Cup<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, which will be held in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, from 19 to 28 July.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Team management has named the squad following a four-day camp<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, which concluded in Karachi on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n<div data-hveid=\"CDMQAA\" data-ved=\"2ahUKEwi677WVpIOHAxXF_rsIHc4dAmUQlcAGegQIMxAA\">\n<div class=\"KsRP6\">\n<div class=\"MDY31c Sb9BPb\">\n<div class=\"QpPSMb\">\n<div class=\"DoxwDb\">\n<p class=\"PZPZlf ssJ7i xgAzOe\" role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\" data-attrid=\"title\">Women&#8217;s Team selectors have named <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Iram Javed, Omaima Sohail, Syeda Aroob Shah, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Tasmia Rubab in the squad while dropping Ayesha Zafar, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar, who were part of the 17-member squad that toured England last month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"PZPZlf ssJ7i xgAzOe\" role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\" data-attrid=\"title\">The 15-member squad includes<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali, Najiha Alvi, Nashra Sundhu, Omaima Sohail, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah, Tasmia Rubab, and Tuba Hassan, PCB announced in a press release.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As per PCB&#8217;s statement<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, a training camp for the women\u2019s team for the Women\u2019s T20 Asia Cup will commence in Karachi on July 5 and will continue until the Green Shirts&#8217; departure on July 16. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pakistan <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> placed in Group \u2018A\u2019 along with India, Nepal, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> UAE, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand,\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Malaysia are in <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Group \u2018<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">B\u2019.\u00a0The top two teams from each group will play in the semi-finals on July 26.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pakistan will take on arch-rival India on the opening day of the tournament on 19 July, while their matches against Nepal and UAE will be on July 21 and 23, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has retained Nida Dar as the Pakistan Women Team captain as the squad announced for the upcoming ACC Women&#8217;s T20 Asia Cup, which will be held in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, from 19 to 28 July.
