{"id":41215,"date":"2024-07-01T14:56:24","date_gmt":"2024-07-01T09:56:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=41215"},"modified":"2024-07-02T00:42:11","modified_gmt":"2024-07-01T19:42:11","slug":"pakistan-appoints-48-prominent-business-figures-as-ambassadors-at-large","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/pakistan-appoints-48-prominent-business-figures-as-ambassadors-at-large\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan appoints 48 prominent business figures as Ambassadors at Large"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has appointed 48 prominent business figures as <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pm-shehbaz-appoints-mustafa-bin-talha-as-honorary-ambassador-at-large\/\">Ambassadors at Large<\/a> and announced the issuance of official\/gratis passports to these distinguished individuals.<\/p>\n<p>This decision follows the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) authorization as stated in their letter dated April 9, 2024, which recognizes these compliant taxpayers for their contributions.<\/p>\n<p>In a notification issued on June 28, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has approved the issuance of these passports to the following individuals:<\/p>\n<p>1. Shahzad Saleem<br \/>\n2. Asghar Ali<br \/>\n3. Syed Asad Hussain Zaidi<br \/>\n4. Muhammad Maqsood<br \/>\n5. Jehanzaib<br \/>\n6. Mian Umer Mansha<br \/>\n7. Murtaza Ahmed<br \/>\n8. Shahid Rathore<br \/>\n9. Asif Peer<br \/>\n10. Wasif Sattar<br \/>\n11. Waseem Ahmed<br \/>\n12. Nadeem Ahmed<br \/>\n13. Zulfiqar Ali Khan<br \/>\n14. Abubakar Hanif<br \/>\n15. Naveed Amer<br \/>\n16. Hasan Saleem<br \/>\n17. Abdul Rehman<br \/>\n18. Ali Asrar Hussain Agha<br \/>\n19. Muhammad Abdullah<br \/>\n20. Asif Jooma<br \/>\n21. Mian Dad<br \/>\n22. Mujtaba<br \/>\n23. Mohsin Aziz<br \/>\n24. Faisal Garib<br \/>\n25. Ahmed Muhammad<br \/>\n26. Hira Butt<br \/>\n27. Huma Arshad<br \/>\n28. Saif Javed<br \/>\n29. Salma Sultana<br \/>\n30. Umar Ur Rehman Butt<br \/>\n38. Khalid Mahmood<br \/>\n39. Syed Muhammad Taha<br \/>\n40. Nadeem Akhtar<br \/>\n41. Mian Mohammad Mansha<br \/>\n42. Nazimuddin Feroz<br \/>\n43. Imtiaz Hussain<br \/>\n44. Jarrar Hussain Awan<br \/>\n45. Tauseef Nawaz<br \/>\n46. Khalid Yousuf<br \/>\n47. Mirza Javaid Iqbal<br \/>\n48. Ali Zafar Naqvi<\/p>\n<p>These passports will be valid for two years. The Directorate General of Immigration &amp; Passports has instructed the zonal heads in Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, and Lahore to expedite the issuance process.<\/p>\n<p>According to the notification available with Daily Ausaf, this initiative aims to recognize and encourage the efforts of compliant taxpayers who have shown exceptional dedication and service.<\/p>\n<p>The government hopes that acknowledging these individuals will inspire others to contribute positively to the nation&#8217;s development.<\/p>\n<p>However, the appointment of these taxpayers as Ambassador at Large has raised serious concerns as nepotism has definitely been done in appointing them.<\/p>\n<p>There are many other top taxpayers across the country who were ignored including the notable former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, prominent businessmen Javed Afridi, Mossadeq Zulqarnain, Tariq Aziz Channa, Muhammad Haroon Mehmood, Tariq Rafi and others.<\/p>\n<p>Most of them, who were appointed Ambassador at Large, has alleged political affiliation such as Mian Mansha&#8217;s son Mian Umar Mansha and Mustafa Bin Talha, son of former Senator Talha Mehmood.<\/p>\n<p>These 48 prominent personalities are somehow linked to allegedly powerful circles, otherwise there is a long list of public tax payers in Pakistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has appointed 48 prominent business figures as Ambassadors at Large and announced the issuance of official\/gratis passports to these distinguished individuals.
