ISLAMABAD: Following the implementation of 18% General Sales Tax (GST) by the federal government in the budget 2024-25, leading companies in Pakistan have announced new prices of packaged milk, here on Monday.<\/p>\n

In late June, the National Assembly<\/a> approved the budget with 18 percent GST on packaged milk, herbal and homeopathic medicines and food items.<\/p>\n

Despite the rejection of the proposal by the Senate Standing Committee on Finance, the government went ahead with the decision, which would put additional burden on the public.<\/p>\n

As the Budget<\/a> recommendations come into force from today (July 1, 2024), the companies have announced new prices for packaged milk of 250ml, 1000ml and 1500ml.<\/p>\n

FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited, which sells dairy products under the brand name Olper’s, has released a new price list.<\/p>\n

The company has increased the price of each 250ml pack to Rs95 for retail customers while the price of a carton box has been fixed at Rs2,660 for Ecolean product and Rs2,565 for TBA product.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the price of each pack of 100 ml has been increased to Rs370, while the price of a carton box for retail customers has been increased to Rs4440.<\/p>\n

Each 1500ml pack is now priced at Rs 535 while the carton box is priced at Rs4,200, starting from July 1, 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
