{"id":41326,"date":"2024-07-02T16:51:14","date_gmt":"2024-07-02T11:51:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=41326"},"modified":"2024-07-02T16:51:14","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T11:51:14","slug":"thirty-electric-buses-to-hit-roads-in-islamabad-this-week-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/thirty-electric-buses-to-hit-roads-in-islamabad-this-week-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Thirty electric buses to hit roads in Islamabad this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced to start operation of electric buses this week on two routes in the federal capital.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/new-electric-buses-starts-service-in-islamabad\/\">Thirty electric buses<\/a> that arrived last month have already completed their trial run\u00a0on the routes and services will launched for passengers on Friday following an inauguration ceremony.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The inauguration ceremony, expected to be held on July 5, will be attended by either <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Prime<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Minister Shehbaz Sharif or <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the Interior<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Minister Mohsin Naqvi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>An official privy to the development told a local publication, &#8220;The preparations are in progress for holding the inauguration ceremony on July 5; there are chances that the interior minister will inaugurate this bus service.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The buses will ply on two routes, \u2018Nust to Pims\u2019 and \u2018Pims to Bari Imam\u2019. Route from Nust to Pims<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0will cover a distance of approximately 13 kilometers, with 13 stops, and a bus will arrive at each stop every 10 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Another route that will run from Pims to Bari Imran includes stops at Radio Colony, Satara Market, Melody, Aabpara, NADRA Chowk, Serena Hotel, Foreign Office, Radio Pakistan, and the Diplomatic Enclave.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The electric buses, which arrived in Islamabad last month, are part of a larger fleet of 200 buses, with 70 more expected to arrive from Karachi in a few days. The CDA has set up the facility at the H-9 metro depot. \u201cAfter starting the operation of 30 buses, we can start the operations of 70 more buses within a few days,\u201d said an official.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sixty remaining buses will be on their way to Islamabad from China after manufacturing.
