{"id":41478,"date":"2024-07-04T11:20:46","date_gmt":"2024-07-04T06:20:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=41478"},"modified":"2024-07-04T11:20:46","modified_gmt":"2024-07-04T06:20:46","slug":"fact-check-is-lesco-banning-green-solar-electric-meters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/fact-check-is-lesco-banning-green-solar-electric-meters\/","title":{"rendered":"Fact Check: Is LESCO banning Green solar-electric meters?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td_block_wrap tdb_single_content tdi_17 td-pb-border-top td_block_template_1 td-post-content tagdiv-type\" data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_17\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>LAHORE: Reports emerged that<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">banned<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/federal-govt-announces-massive-relief-on-solar-panel-prices-in-budget-2024-25-details-inside\/\">green meters<\/a> and <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">mandated the replacement of these meters with Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to the media reports, orders have been issued to install <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/federal-cabinet-decides-against-imposing-additional-duty-on-solar-panels\/\">Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters<\/a> instead of bidirectional green meters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">LESCO <\/span>was said to provide a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for the purchase of AMI meters for solar connections.
