ISLAMABAD: Australian interviewer Matt Doran has apologized to Adele after reportedly making her \u2018storm out\u2019 of an interview with him by admitting that he hadn\u2019t heard her latest album, reported Page Six.<\/p>\n
Doran, who specially flew out 10,000 miles from Australia to UK for the interview, told The Australian that he is \u201cmortified and unequivocally apologetic to Adele\u201d for offending her.<\/p>\n
The host insisted that it was a \u2018simple mistake\u2019, explaining, \u201cWhen I sat down to interview Adele, I was totally unaware that I\u2019d been emailed a preview of her unreleased album.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI have since discovered it was sent to me as an \u2018e card\u2019 link, which I somehow missed upon landing in London. It was an oversight but NOT a deliberate snub. This is the most important email I have ever missed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He also attempted to clarify that the Hello singer did not \u201cstorm out\u201d of the interview and that he actually interviewed her for 29 minutes instead of the originally allotted 20 minutes.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m utterly confounded. I\u2019ve implored Sony to release the interview,\u201d said Doran.<\/p>\n
Doran\u2019s interview for Seven Network was supposed to be a part of a $725,000 deal with Sony to promote Adele\u2019s latest release 30 in Australia, however, they ultimately didn\u2019t allow Seven to use Doran\u2019s interview.<\/p>\n
