{"id":42023,"date":"2024-07-10T19:50:56","date_gmt":"2024-07-10T14:50:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=42023"},"modified":"2024-07-10T19:51:32","modified_gmt":"2024-07-10T14:51:32","slug":"pakistan-to-get-e-gates-for-immigration-in-these-airports-details-inside","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-to-get-e-gates-for-immigration-in-these-airports-details-inside\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan to get e-gates for immigration in THESE airports: Details inside"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pcaa-seeks-bids-for-outsourcing-islamabad-airport\/\">PCAA<\/a>) announced its plans to install e-gates at various airports in the country to facilitate faster immigration processing for passengers, here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>As per the details, in a statement issued here, a PCCA spokesperson said the e-gates will enable faster clearance as per international standards.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesman said that initially e-gates will be installed at Karachi&#8217;s Jinnah International Airport, Allama Iqbal <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/lahore\/lahore-airport-fire-international-hajj-flights-delayed-after-fire-erupts\/\">International Airport Lahore<\/a> and Islamabad International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Passengers will scan their passports at e-gates, the PCCA maintained, adding that the facility aims to reduce waiting times and enhance the overall travel experience.<\/p>\n<p>PCAA has invited bids from technology companies to install the advanced gates, with a deadline of August 13 for submission.<\/p>\n<p>A team from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements at Karachi and Islamabad airports.<\/p>\n<p>Aviation security review at Islamabad and Karachi airports was conducted by UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (UAE-GCAA), led by Senior Director GCAA UAE Mr. Abdullah Al Kaabi and hosted by PCAA.<\/p>\n<p>During the assessment, the team inspected various aviation security areas at both airports, including passenger and baggage screening, cargo, and catering security.<\/p>\n<p>They also reviewed airlines, ground handling agents, regulated cargo agents, and catering companies operating directly in the UAE.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) announced its plans to install e-gates at various airports in the country to facilitate faster immigration processing for passengers, here on Tuesday.
