{"id":43160,"date":"2024-07-27T18:23:52","date_gmt":"2024-07-27T13:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=43160"},"modified":"2024-07-27T18:23:52","modified_gmt":"2024-07-27T13:23:52","slug":"sindh-govt-lifts-ban-on-issuance-of-arms-licences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sindh-govt-lifts-ban-on-issuance-of-arms-licences\/","title":{"rendered":"Sindh govt lifts ban on issuance of arms licences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The Sindh government Friday lifted the ban on the issuance of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/latest-fee-update-for-new-arms-license-in-pakistan-2024\/\">arms licenses<\/a> across the province and authorized the deputy commissioner to issue firearm licenses, effective from August 1.<\/p>\n<p>A notification issued by the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sindh-govt-bans-speeches-of-143-ulema-zakireen-during-muharram\/\">Sindh Home Department<\/a> stated, \u201cWith the approval of the Minister for Home, Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Criminal Prosecution Sindh, the ban on the issuance of arms licenses will be lifted starting August 1 at Deputy Commissioner\u2019s offices across the province, by the existing quota\/ceiling mentioned in Rule 4.1 of the Sindh Arms Rule 2018.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Muhammad Iqbal Memon issued the notification.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the caretaker provincial government imposed the ban by revoking the power of deputy commissioners to issue firearm licenses in October last year.<\/p>\n<p>The issued notification stated that the ban would apply to the issuance of arms licenses from the district commissioner offices and the interior ministry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The Sindh government Friday lifted the ban on the issuance of arms licenses across the province and authorized the deputy commissioner to issue firearm licenses, effective from August 1.
