{"id":43458,"date":"2024-07-31T16:46:09","date_gmt":"2024-07-31T11:46:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=43458"},"modified":"2024-07-31T16:50:26","modified_gmt":"2024-07-31T11:50:26","slug":"new-school-timings-saturday-holiday-in-punjab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/new-school-timings-saturday-holiday-in-punjab\/","title":{"rendered":"New school timings, Saturday holiday announced in Punjab?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">LAHORE: The Punjab government will likely revise <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/fde-announces-new-school-timings-in-islamabad\/\">school timings<\/a> across the province after the summer vacations end on August 14 and school will reopen on August 15.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In Punjab, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/summer-holidays-in-punjab-schools-to-begin-on-this-date\/\">summer holidays<\/a> began on June 1, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2024,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> and are <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">set<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to end on August 14, with schools reopening <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">on<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Aug 15.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Currently, there is no update regarding an\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">extension<\/span>\u00a0<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">for<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">summer<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0holidays in Punjab. The provincial government could review the schedule if there is any uncertainty in the prevailing\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">weather conditions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Earlier, schools in Punjab were closed on May 25 after the provincial government announced seven\u00a0additional holidays\u00a0due to the rising temperature.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-govt-announces-saturday-as-weekly-holiday-in-school-details-inside\/\">Weekly holiday in Punjab schools<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Earlier in June, the Punjab government announced two weekly holidays in schools across the province. Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat declared Saturday as a\u00a0weekly holiday, adding that the schools will now remain closed for two days a week.<\/p>\n<p>Taking on X, the Education Minister said that the decision has been taken to provide relief to the teachers\u2019 community in the province. \u201cTeachers are serving the nation and we must take care of them\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-473dfed elementor-widget elementor-widget-theme-post-content\" data-id=\"473dfed\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"theme-post-content.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p>After the announcement of two holidays per week, the Punjab government has decided to extend the school timings for the remaining days (Monday-Friday). The government has yet to issue the schedule for school timings in Punjab.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2a992e4c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2a992e4c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<h2 class=\"elementor-widget-container\">School timings in Punjab schools<\/h2>\n<p>The provincial government has not yet announced new school timings after the summer vacations.
