RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations<\/a> (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that 100 IBOs are conducted by Pakistan Army law enforcement agencies (LEAs) across the country daily as effective measures against terrorism.<\/p>\n

Briefing the media on the country’s security situation, the military\u2019s spokesperson revealed that so far, 23,622 intelligence-based operations (IBOs)<\/a> have been conducted in the ongoing year \u2014 of which 2,045 operations were conducted in the last 15 days which resulted in the elimination of 24 terrorists.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), he said that the government had recently notified the group as “Fitna al-Khawarij<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that TTP has neither an ideology nor anything to do with Islam or Pakistan, adding that all terrorists associated with the group would be termed “Kharji” (outcasts).<\/p>\n
