{"id":44466,"date":"2024-08-09T18:38:38","date_gmt":"2024-08-09T13:38:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=44466"},"modified":"2024-08-09T18:45:37","modified_gmt":"2024-08-09T13:45:37","slug":"pakistan-records-workers-remittances-inflow-of-3-billion-in-july-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/pakistan-records-workers-remittances-inflow-of-3-billion-in-july-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan records workers&#8217; remittances inflow of $3 billion in July 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"css-175oi2r\">\n<div class=\"css-175oi2r r-1s2bzr4\">\n<p dir=\"auto\" lang=\"en\" data-testid=\"tweetText\">ISLAMABAD: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-achieves-record-3-24-billion-in-remittances-in-may-54-yearly-increase\/\">overseas workers\u2019 remittances<\/a> recorded an inflow of $3 billion during the first month of fiscal year 2024-25, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" lang=\"en\" data-testid=\"tweetText\">In terms of growth, the remittances recorded in July 2024 marked a significant increase of 47.6% as compared to the same month last year.<\/p>\n<p>During July, remittances inflow was mainly sourced from Saudi Arabia with Pakistani nationals sending $761.1 million from KSA.<\/p>\n<p>Following the Kingdom, remittances from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) amounted to $611.1 million, the United Kingdom sending $443.5 million and the United States of America contributing $300.1 million, SBP added.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the year-on-year growth, remittances in July 2024 saw a slight decline of 5% compared to June 2024, indicating a possible seasonal fluctuation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Meanwhile, the SBP announced an increase in the country&#8217;s foreign exchange reserves.
