{"id":46294,"date":"2024-08-26T13:44:08","date_gmt":"2024-08-26T08:44:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=46294"},"modified":"2024-08-26T13:44:08","modified_gmt":"2024-08-26T08:44:08","slug":"sarfaraz-ahmed-among-five-mentors-confirmed-for-champions-cup-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/sarfaraz-ahmed-among-five-mentors-confirmed-for-champions-cup-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarfaraz Ahmed among five mentors confirmed for Champions Cup team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNoSpacing\">LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced mentors of the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/pcb-chief-annouces-new-domestic-champions-cup\/\">Champions Cup<\/a>, a newly introduced premier one-day, T20, and first-class tournament in Pakistan\u2019s 2024-25 domestic cricket season.<\/p>\n<p>According to the PCB press release, Misbah-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, and Waqar Younis will serve as mentors of five Champions Cup teams on three-year contracts starting next month.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming Champions One-Day Cup, which will be held at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad from September 12 to 29 will kick start PCB Domestic Cricket Season 2024-25.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Best of the best cricketers from the country will feature in the single-league competition that will also serve as the homecoming of men\u2019s seniors\u2019 competitive cricket in Faisalabad after nearly two years,&#8221; the PCB statement added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNoSpacing\">PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi said these five exceptional mentors for the Champions Cup teams bring a wealth of cricketing experience, knowledge, and expertise, which, combined with their passion for the game, will help the Pakistan Cricket Board identify, develop and nurture the next generation of cricketers across all formats.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNoSpacing\">\u201cThese five mentors will play a pivotal role in the development and progression of our emerging cricketers.
