However, commercial vehicles, including vans, trailers, and trucks, will face an even steeper increase, with tolls rising by up to Rs 600.<\/p>\n<p>The new toll rates for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/govt-to-intensify-crackdown-on-smoke-emitting-vehicles\/\">commercial vehicles<\/a> are increased, vans will pay Rs 2030, coaters will pay Rs 2840 (up from Rs 2240), buses will pay Rs 4060, trucks will pay Rs 5280, and trailers will pay Rs 6780.<\/p>\n<p>This increase is part of an annual 10% hike as per the contract agreement with M\/s Motorway Operations and Rehabilitation Engineering (Private) Limited, a subsidiary owned by the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), signed on April 23, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement stipulates a 10% escalation in toll rates every year for 20 years.
