RAWALPINDI: At 21 terrorists were killed in a clearance operation carried out by security forces and law enforcement agencies after multiple terrorist activities claimed the lives of numerous civilians<\/a> across Balochistan on the night of August 25 and 26, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, terrorists attempted to conduct numerous heinous activities in <\/span>Balochistan yesterday night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Taking a swift response, Security forces and law enforcement agencies successfully thwarted the evil design of terrorists and killed 21 in ensuing clearance operations, ensuring security and protection of the local populace, ISPR said.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the statement said, these cowardly acts of terrorism were aimed at disrupting the peaceful environment and development of Balochistan by targeting mainly innocent civilians, especially in Musa Khel, Kalat, and Labela Districts which resulted in the deaths of<\/span> numerous innocent civilians.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

During the conduct of operations, 14 brave sons of soil including 10 Security Forces soldiers and 4 personnel of law enforcement agencies, having fought gallantly, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat, the ISPR statement said.<\/p>\n

“Sanitization operations are being conducted and the instigators, perpetrators, facilitators, and abettors of these heinous and cowardly acts, targeting innocent civilians, will be brought to justice.”<\/p>\n

The banned outfit Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack, marking it as one of the worst shootings in the region in recent years.<\/p>\n

40 killed in separate attacks<\/h2>\n

As per details, at least 40 people were killed in separate shootings and grenade attacks across Balochistan. According to the Kalat Superintendent of Police (SP) Dostain Dashti, the overnight incidents across the Kalat district left 11 people, including security personnel dead, and six injured.<\/p>\n

Kachhi SSP Dost Mohammad Bugti said that six people were shot dead and their bodies were found across the Bolan district. \u201cAccording to initial reports, all individuals were killed last night,\u201d SSP Bugti told media.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In MusaKhel District, terrorists stopped a bus in the general area of Rara Sham and maliciously targeted innocent citizens killing at least 23 people. Terrorists offloaded passengers from trucks and buses traveling to and from Punjab on an inter-provincial highway in Musakhel, and individuals from Punjab were identified and shot.<\/p>\n

Musakhel Assistant Commissioner Najeeb Kakar added that the armed men also set fire to 23 vehicles, including 17 trucks, two passenger vans, and four pick-up vehicles.<\/p>\n

Militants destroyed a railway bridge in the Dozan area of the Bolan district which suspended train services from Karachi and Rawalpindi to Quetta. The railway bridge collapse also resulted in one death and several injuries.<\/p>\n

The clashes occurred along various points of the Quetta-Karachi highway, the Kalat SP said, adding that the route has been closed to traffic. An emergency has been imposed in hospitals.<\/p>\n

Interior minister vows to bring perpetrator to justice<\/h2>\n

Condemning the heinous terrorist attacks in Balochistan, <\/span>Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi pledged that <\/span>the facts would be brought out with the evidence after the investigation.<\/span><\/p>\n

“These incidents of sabotage are a conspiracy to create instability in Pakistan. The enemy wants to create anarchy in the country under a well-thought-out plan,” a statement issued on X added.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mohsin Naqvi further said he was in contact with the Balochistan government and that effective measures <\/span>were being taken to maintain an atmosphere of peace in the province.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf someone thinks that by such cowardly acts, they can defeat the nation\u2019s unwavering determination, they are mistaken,\u201d Naqvi said.<\/p>\n
