{"id":47524,"date":"2024-09-05T17:49:13","date_gmt":"2024-09-05T12:49:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=47524"},"modified":"2024-09-05T17:49:13","modified_gmt":"2024-09-05T12:49:13","slug":"cm-maryam-nawaz-inaugurates-bund-road-corridor-expansion-of-ravi-bridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/cm-maryam-nawaz-inaugurates-bund-road-corridor-expansion-of-ravi-bridge\/","title":{"rendered":"CM Maryam Nawaz inaugurates Bund Road Corridor, expansion of Ravi Bridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/health\/cm-punjab-inaugurates-school-nutrition-programme-to-fight-malnutrition\/\">Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz<\/a> recently launched three significant infrastructure projects in Lahore aimed at improving traffic flow and transportation.<\/p>\n<p>The projects include the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-bans-police-officials-from-taking-lifts-on-roads-heres-why\/\">Controlled Access Corridor<\/a> (Bund Road Package-II), the expansion of Ravi Bridge, and the remodeling of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/interior-ministry-reveals-cause-of-delay-in-normal-category-passports\/\">Babu Sabu Interchange<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the launch event, the Chief Minister inspected the quality of the work and instructed officials to expand service lanes to accommodate nearby residents.<\/p>\n<p>The Controlled Access Corridor project has seen significant progress, with the completion of construction between the Niazi Interchange and Saggian, as well as the Saggian to Babu Sabu section.<\/p>\n<p>Service lanes have been opened along the 7.5 km Bund Road corridor, improving traffic flow.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, repair work on drainage systems, construction of subways for vehicles and pedestrians, and development of a greenbelt and park at Babu Sabu Chowk have been completed.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion of Ravi Bridge includes the construction of a new 540-meter, four-lane bridge over the Ravi River, which will ease traffic flow.<\/p>\n<p>Encroachments on valuable land have also been removed.
