KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan<\/a> (SBP) on Thursday revealed the possible design of new currency notes of all denominations.<\/p>\n

Possible designs have been shortlisted from several designs submitted by citizens in an art competition organized by the State Bank.<\/p>\n

Rs 10 denomination 1st prize won by Shery Abidi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rs 10 denomination 2nd prize won by Mirza Sufiyan<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Rs 20 denomination 1st prize won by Haroon Khan<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Rs 50 denomination 1st prize won by\u00a0Syed Fawad Hussain<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Rs 100 denomination 1st prize won by Memoona Afzal<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

“We (SBP) are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the art competition for the design of the new banknote series. We appreciate the local artists and designers who have shown their creativity and talent in this important endeavor. participated in the competition,” the central bank said in a statement issued here.<\/p>\n

State Bank said the designs were shortlisted after a rigorous screening process by a committee of respected experts from the respective fields.<\/p>\n

The State Bank said the shortlisted designs for the new currency notes are suggestive in nature and are being shared with international designers tasked to work with the central bank.<\/p>\n

Rs 500 denomination 1st prize won by Hadiya Hassan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rs 500 denomination 2nd prize won by Aynee Zahra<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

International designers will work with State Bank officials to finalize the design of the new banknote series.<\/p>\n

“International designers, inspired by local art offerings, will, however, be free to use their design skills and imagination to create the final designs for the new banknote series,” the central bank added.<\/p>\n

Rs 1000 denomination 1st prize won by Noureen Aslam<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rs 5000 denomination 1st prize won by Memoona Afzal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rs 5000 denomination 2nd prize won by Karim Muhammad<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It wrote that State Bank will ensure that the new series of notes reflect the rich cultural heritage and progressive vision of our nation, and hopes that the final designs fully reflect this joint effort.<\/p>\n
