Gen. Afsar, a serving army officer, as NADRA chairman by the caretaker government in October 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The petitioner argued that the caretaker government had overstepped its authority by amending the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/nadra-family-registration-certificate-frc-latest-fee-for-july-2024\/\">NADRA Act<\/a> to appoint a serving army officer and that such a move was not permissible under the law.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Asim Hafeez, who pronounced the verdict, agreed with the petitioner&#8217;s contention that the caretaker government could not interfere in permanent policy matters.<\/p>\n<p>The court&#8217;s order to remove Lt.
