ISLAMABAD: Amna Baloch, presently posted as Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxemburg, and the European Union, has been appointed as Secretary<\/a> of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

A notification by the Establishment Division stated that Amna Baloch, a Grade-22 officer of the Foreign Service of Pakistan will take charge of her office on September 11, 2024.<\/p>\n

The incumbent Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi is retiring on September 10. Syrus Sajjad has been appointed as a member of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).<\/p>\n

Khaliq-ur-Rahman, a Grade-20 officer of the Secretariat Group, has been appointed as Joint Secretary Ministry of Industry and Production.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Born in 1966, Baloch joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1991. She served as an Additional Secretary in the Foreign Office from September 2018 to June 2019.<\/p>\n
