HULUNBUIR: Pakistan registered their first team after defeating Japan 2-1 in the ongoing Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2024<\/a>\u00a0at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in Hulunbuir, China on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Ahmad Nadeem clinched the early lead with a first goal in the ninth minute, strengthening the Green Shirts’ position in the game Sufyan Khan found the back of the net with a well-executed penalty corner in the 21st minute.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Later in the first half, Japan’s Raiki Fujishima helped Japan make a comeback with their first goal of the match in the second quarter. In the last two quarters, Ammad Butt-led young side maintained their lead until the final hooter.<\/p>\n

This victory led Pakistan to register their first triumph in the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy after the two games ended in a draw against Malaysia and South Korea.<\/p>\n

The Green Shirts’ clash against South Korea on Monday ended in a 2-2 draw after they failed to defend their two-goal lead.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Pakistan’s match against Malaysia also ended in a 2-2 draw with a last-minute thriller from both sides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
