{"id":48204,"date":"2024-09-11T19:00:13","date_gmt":"2024-09-11T14:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=48204"},"modified":"2024-09-11T19:00:13","modified_gmt":"2024-09-11T14:00:13","slug":"fbr-warns-of-strict-action-denies-extension-in-income-tax-filing-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/fbr-warns-of-strict-action-denies-extension-in-income-tax-filing-deadline\/","title":{"rendered":"FBR warns of strict action, denies extension in income tax filing deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/fbr-to-increase-property-rates-in-42-major-cities-of-pakistan\/\">Federal Board of Revenue<\/a> (FBR) has clarified that there will be no extension in the last date for submission of income tax returns, here on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>As per the details, FBR officials said that 14 lakhs returns have been filed so far and said that the deadline will not be extended from September 30, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The FBR also warned that non-fillers may face multiple consequences, including blocking of mobile <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pta-initiates-suspending-sims-registered-on-expired-cnic\/\">SIMs<\/a> and disconnection of electricity and gas meters.<\/p>\n<p>The FBR warned that strict action would be taken after issuing notices to non-filers, which may include freezing of bank accounts.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/fbr-rules-out-amnesty-for-smuggled-vehicles\/\">FBR<\/a>, persons whose annual income is more than Rs. 600,000 is required to file a tax return.
