{"id":50423,"date":"2024-09-30T12:08:52","date_gmt":"2024-09-30T07:08:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=50423"},"modified":"2024-09-30T12:08:52","modified_gmt":"2024-09-30T07:08:52","slug":"lda-plans-to-transform-mm-alam-road-with-advance-facilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/lda-plans-to-transform-mm-alam-road-with-advance-facilities\/","title":{"rendered":"LDA plans to transform MM Alam road with advance facilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/over-100-illegal-buildings-sealed-by-lda-in-lahore\/\"> Lahore Development Authority (LDA)<\/a> has finalized a plan to modernize MM Alam Road, a major hub in Lahore&#8217;s Gulberg area, with an estimated cost of Rs1.230 billion.<\/p>\n<p>This project aims to address the road&#8217;s major issues, particularly the lack of parking and<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/bajaur-police-vehicle-hits-roadside-bomb-3-injured\/\"> pedestrian facilities<\/a>, which cause difficulties for shoppers and visitors, especially during peak hours.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the heart of Lahore, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/dig-malakand-dpo-swat-dismissed-from-posts-over-mala-jabba-incident\/\">MM Alam Road<\/a> is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, upscale shopping, and diverse dining options, attracting locals and tourists alike.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, to enhance the road&#8217;s livability, sustainability, and resilience, the LDA plans to extend pedestrian facilities and introduce underground electrification.<\/p>\n<p>Key features of the project include a uniform building line, enhanced facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, dedicated parking, and traffic and pedestrian road safety measures.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the central median will be removed, and the road will become one-way from Hussain Chowk to Mini Market. Property owners who haven&#8217;t converted their properties to commercial use will receive incentives to create a 30-foot setback.<\/p>\n<p>The LDA will fund the project from its resources and expects to complete it within six months of commencement.
