{"id":52150,"date":"2024-10-11T17:25:34","date_gmt":"2024-10-11T12:25:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=52150"},"modified":"2024-10-11T17:25:34","modified_gmt":"2024-10-11T12:25:34","slug":"pta-survey-reveals-zong-jazz-as-top-network-operators-ufone-telenor-lagging-behind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/technology\/pta-survey-reveals-zong-jazz-as-top-network-operators-ufone-telenor-lagging-behind\/","title":{"rendered":"PTA survey reveals Zong, Jazz as top network operators, Ufone, Telenor lagging behind"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD:<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has released its <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/technology\/telenor-named-as-worst-mobile-network-in-pakistan-pta-survey\/\">Quality of Service<\/a> (QoS) Survey report for the second quarter of 2024, showing the service quality of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/schools-closed-mobile-signals-suspended-in-peshawar-amid-cm-gandapurs-jirga\/\">cellular mobile operators<\/a> across Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>PTA surveyed 23 cities across the country, which revealed that<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Zong and Jazz remained the top performers in several categories including network speed and latency, while, Ufone and Telenor failed to maintain competitive speeds and connection reliability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The survey, conducted over 83 days, assessed operators on crucial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including d<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ata upload speeds, c<\/span>all connection time, SMS send time, and network latency.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">During the survey, over 0.38 million mobile broadband tests and 57,500 call and SMS assessments were carried out i<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">n accordance with<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the\u00a0<\/span>Cellular Mobile Network Quality of Service (QoS) Regulati<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ons 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Findings of QoS Survey 2024 (Q2)<\/h2>\n<p>According to t<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">he Quality of Service (QoS) Survey <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Zong led with the highest download throughput, followed closely by Jazz, while Ufone and Telenor posted slower results.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-52158 \" src=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Capture.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"694\" height=\"303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Capture.png 939w, https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Capture-300x131.png 300w, https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Capture-768x335.png 768w, https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Capture.avif 939w, https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Capture-300x131.avif 300w, https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Capture-768x335.avif 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 694px) 100vw, 694px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As per call connection and SMS performance,<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Ufone ranked above for SMS send time, but call connection times across Telenor and Ufone were slower compared to Zong and Jazz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Zong topped with the lowest network latency (26.1 ms), indicating quicker data transmission, with Jazz following at 33.7 ms.
