{"id":52631,"date":"2024-10-14T23:53:40","date_gmt":"2024-10-14T18:53:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=52631"},"modified":"2024-10-14T23:53:40","modified_gmt":"2024-10-14T18:53:40","slug":"pti-cancels-d-chowk-protest-on-sco-summit-opening-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pti-cancels-d-chowk-protest-on-sco-summit-opening-day\/","title":{"rendered":"PTI cancels D-Chowk protest on SCO Summit opening day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pti-requests-meeting-with-imran-khan-in-adiala-jail\/\">PTI<\/a>) has postponed its October 15 D-Chowk protest in view of the two-day SCO summit starting tomorrow (Tuesday).<\/p>\n<p>As per the media reports, the decision was taken by the PTI\u2019s political committee in a meeting in which majority of participants urged to withdraw the protest call for Tuesday (tomorrow) in view of the<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sco-summit-2024-cm-kp-gandapur-plans-march-to-islamabads-d-chowk-tomorrow\/\"> SCO<\/a> Council of Heads of Government (CHG) meeting on October 15-16.<\/p>\n<p>The decision comes as a relief for the government as the country is all set to host a heads-of-government gathering of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in the federal capital.<\/p>\n<p>Imran Khan\u2019s party met for a meeting via videolink after the government arranged a medical examination for former prime minister Imran Khan, with doctors set to examine him at Adiala Jail tomorrow (Tuesday).<\/p>\n<p>They added that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has informed PTI Chairman Gohar Khan about the decision.
