{"id":52735,"date":"2024-10-15T18:20:21","date_gmt":"2024-10-15T13:20:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=52735"},"modified":"2024-10-15T21:03:08","modified_gmt":"2024-10-15T16:03:08","slug":"imran-khans-health-update-doctors-confirm-good-condition-after-jail-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/imran-khans-health-update-doctors-confirm-good-condition-after-jail-visit\/","title":{"rendered":"Imran Khan\u2019s health update: Doctors confirm good condition after jail visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI: PTI Chairman <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/barrister-gohar-salman-akram-raja-released-after-brief-arrest-in-rawalpindi\/\">Barrister Gohar<\/a> confirmed on Tuesday that party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan was in good health and his fresh medical reports would be available soon.<\/p>\n<p>The development came after he said doctors were allowed to meet Imran at Adiala jail after the PTI complained that its incarcerated leader was facing health-related issues.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Gohar had said that since October 3, no lawyer, family member or party leader had been allowed to meet Imran despite his being ill. He added that the PTI had applied to the interior ministry to allow a party leader, family member, or health professional to meet the founding chairman.<\/p>\n<p>Gohar said that \u201cgovernment doctors, along with medical specialists and an ENT specialist (otolaryngologist), had arrived at the jail.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He later said in a post on X the two doctors met Imran at 4pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were informed a while ago that thank God, Khan sahib is in good health and had exercised for an hour today. We shall get medical reports from them soon and I will share with you,\u201d Gohar said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Today at about 4pm two doctors \u2013 an ENT specialist and a medical specialist visited Khan sab at Adiyala jail. God bless you all,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, the PTI had called off a planned protest in Islamabad after receiving assurances about Imran\u2019s health and that a medical expert would visit Adiala Jail today to examine him.<\/p>\n<p>The protest would have coincided with the ongoing Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit for which dignitaries of several countries are in Islamabad amid very high security.<\/p>\n<p>The government, which had earlier refused to back down from its tough stance on dealing with PTI protesters with an \u201ciron hand\u201d if they tried to protest amid the SCO moot, agreed to most of the party\u2019s demands, including arranging a meeting between party leaders and founding chairman Imran Khan and facilitating his medical checkup.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI: PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar confirmed on Tuesday that party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan was in good health and his fresh medical reports would be available soon.
