{"id":53849,"date":"2024-10-25T11:36:29","date_gmt":"2024-10-25T06:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=53849"},"modified":"2024-10-25T11:36:29","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T06:36:29","slug":"aleema-khan-uzma-khan-secure-post-arrest-bail-in-d-chowk-protest-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/aleema-khan-uzma-khan-secure-post-arrest-bail-in-d-chowk-protest-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan secure post-arrest bail in D-Chowk protest case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD:\u00a0An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday granted bail to, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/imran-khan-among-105-others-booked-over-pti-d-chowk-protest\/\">Aleema Khan<\/a> and Uzma Khan, sisters of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, in the D-Chowk protest case.<\/p>\n<p>ATC Judge Abual Hasnaat Zulqarnain conducted a hearing of the case and approved the post-arrest bail plea of Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan against surety bonds worth Rs 20,000 each.<\/p>\n<p>Imran Khan&#8217;s sisters among many other party supporters were arrested from D-Chowk on October 4 during the PTI demonstration. Both were booked in an FIR at Kohsar Police Station for instigating a mob to attack policemen and state institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan were sent on judicial remand at District Jail Jhelum on October 12 after spending eight days in custody of Islamabad police.<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, former premier Imran Khan&#8217;s wife, Bushra Bibi, was freed after nearly 9 months in imprisonment.
