KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Saturday ordered the concerned authorities to re-take<\/a> the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT<\/a>) within four weeks.<\/p>\n

As per the court’s short order, the MDCAT \u2014 which was earlier conducted on September 22 by Dow University of Health Sciences \u2014 will now be held under the supervision of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the SHC ordered the suspension of the MDCT 2024 results and restrained the authorities from finalising and processing admissions based on the exam.<\/p>\n

A two-judge bench comprising Justice Salahuddin Panhwar and Justice Amjad Ali Sahito issued the verdict in a plea filed by several students against the alleged irregularities in admission tests for medical and dental colleges.<\/div>\n

The petitioners, led by Mohammad Shabbir Ahmed, requested the court to declare the exam null and void and order a retake due to allegations of leaked question paper and cheating.<\/p>\n

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) lawyer told the court that physical evidence has been recovered through the forensic of exam official’s mobile phone.<\/p>\n
