{"id":54502,"date":"2024-10-31T19:05:43","date_gmt":"2024-10-31T14:05:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=54502"},"modified":"2024-10-31T19:05:43","modified_gmt":"2024-10-31T14:05:43","slug":"vehicle-fitness-certificate-in-punjab-heres-a-short-guideline-for-appointment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/vehicle-fitness-certificate-in-punjab-heres-a-short-guideline-for-appointment\/","title":{"rendered":"Vehicle fitness certificate in Punjab: Here\u2019s a short guideline for appointment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/punjab-govt-mulls-extending-school-holidays-amid-air-pollution\/\"> government of Punjab<\/a> has made it mandatory for all types of vehicles to obtain a fitness certificate as part of efforts to reduce air pollution and smog in the province.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with Opus Inspection (Pvt) Ltd, the provincial government has taken a major step in road safety and environmental protection by implementing a modern and computerized Vehicle Inspection and Certification System (VICS) network.<\/p>\n<p>Under this concept, the fitness of all vehicles plying in Punjab will be regularly reviewed and fitness certificates will be issued to them on satisfactory completion.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of this effort is to protect the environment. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/punjab-govt-mulls-extending-school-holidays-amid-air-pollution\/\">Air pollution<\/a> is a serious health concern for the citizens of Pakistan. Vehicle emissions account for almost half of air pollution.<\/p>\n<p>The World Health Organization has included Pakistan among the ten worst countries in terms of air pollution.<\/p>\n<p>The program aims to reduce motor vehicle pollution and increase safety by mandating vehicles to meet specific road safety and emission requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Vehicles that do not pass the inspection will be fined by the authorities, denied passage, and unable to pay the token fee.<\/p>\n<h2>Here\u2019s how to get an appointment<\/h2>\n<p>Residents of Punjab can schedule an appointment by calling the VICS Customer Care Center at UAN 042-111-678-711.<\/p>\n<p>Appointments can also be made through official\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tpu.punjab.gov.pk\/vics\">website<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the \u201cAppointment\u201d tab on the home page.<\/li>\n<li>Enter information such as vehicle type, date, number of cars, and registration number.<\/li>\n<li>Enter personal information such as name, phone, and email.<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u201cSubmit\u201d button to get the appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The government of Punjab has made it mandatory for all types of vehicles to obtain a fitness certificate as part of efforts to reduce air pollution and smog in the province.
