{"id":54527,"date":"2024-10-31T22:03:18","date_gmt":"2024-10-31T17:03:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=54527"},"modified":"2024-10-31T22:03:18","modified_gmt":"2024-10-31T17:03:18","slug":"sbp-to-announce-monetary-policy-on-november-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/sbp-to-announce-monetary-policy-on-november-4\/","title":{"rendered":"SBP to announce monetary policy on November 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/sbp-cuts-key-policy-rate-by-200bps-to-17-5pc-amid-slowing-inflation\/\">SBP<\/a>) will announce the monetary policy on Monday, November 24, 2024, the central bank said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In a press statement issued here, the SBP said that its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will meet on Monday, November 04, 2024 to decide on monetary policy. &#8220;Subsequently, the SBP will issue a monetary policy statement through a press release on the same day,&#8221; it added.<\/p>\n<p>The MPC will review the overall economic and financial situation, key indicators, data from various sectors, and key developments since the last monetary policy announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on September 12, the State Bank had made a major cut in its policy by 200 basis points. The central bank cut the interest rate by two percentage points to 17.5 percent in a policy announced two months ago.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts were expecting the committee to continue monetary easing between 150-200bps on a low inflation outlook.<\/p>\n<p>The State Bank said inflation in August came in single digits at 9.64 percent. &#8220;Inflation is going down continuously&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The central bank said that the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-unveils-five-year-plan-to-reduce-population-growth-rate\/\">growth rate<\/a> this year is likely to be 3.5 percent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will announce the monetary policy on Monday, November 24, 2024, the central bank said on Thursday.
