{"id":55338,"date":"2024-11-07T12:52:58","date_gmt":"2024-11-07T07:52:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=55338"},"modified":"2024-11-07T13:15:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-07T08:15:59","slug":"public-holiday-announced-in-pakistan-on-november-9-to-observe-iqbal-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/public-holiday-announced-in-pakistan-on-november-9-to-observe-iqbal-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Public holiday announced in Pakistan on Nov 9 to observe Iqbal Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The federal government has declared a public holiday on November 9 (Saturday) on the occasion of Allama Iqbal Day, the Press Information Department (PID) said in a press release on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Cabinet Division notification, there will be a holiday across the country on November 9, 2024, (Saturday) to observe Iqbal Day, marking the birth anniversary of national poet and philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As notified vide Cabinet Division&#8217;s circular No. 10-02\/2023-Min-II dated 20th December, 2023, listing Public and Optional Holidays for the year 2024, Saturday, the 9th November, 2024 shall be a public holiday throughout the country on the occasion of Allama Iqbal Day,&#8221; the notification read.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the <span class=\"ILfuVd\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hgKElc\">State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has also announced a public holiday on the day.
