{"id":56037,"date":"2024-11-13T20:57:19","date_gmt":"2024-11-13T15:57:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=56037"},"modified":"2024-11-13T20:57:19","modified_gmt":"2024-11-13T15:57:19","slug":"fbr-launches-epayment-2-0-to-streamline-tax-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/fbr-launches-epayment-2-0-to-streamline-tax-payments\/","title":{"rendered":"FBR launches \u2018ePayment 2.0\u2019 to streamline tax payments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/fbr-introduces-advance-stock-register-system-to-stop-tax-evasion\/\">FBR<\/a>) has launched a new payment creation system, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/global-lenders-reluctant-as-stagnant-economy-hampers-debt-repayment-miftah\/\">ePayment<\/a> 2.0, within the IRIS 2.0 portal.<\/p>\n<p>As per the details, this innovative platform is designed to streamline tax payments for taxpayers across Pakistan, offering a secure, efficient and user-friendly way to make online payments directly from bank accounts through internet banking, ATMs, and mobile banking.<\/p>\n<p>The FBR said the launch of the system is in line with the government\u2019s vision to modernize tax infrastructure across the country.<\/p>\n<p>ePayment 2.0 represents a significant step in revenue management, covering a range of taxes, including income tax, sales tax, federal excise duty, and withholding tax.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, taxpayers had to use a separate ePayment system outside IRIS 2.0, switching between portals. Now, e-Payment 2.0 provides a unified and enhanced user interface within IRIS 2.0.<\/p>\n<p>The new system generates a unique Payment Slip ID (PSID), which enables fast and easy payments for both registered and unregistered taxpayers.<\/p>\n<p>Once the payment is completed, a Computerized Payment Receipt (CPR) is issued via email and SMS, providing official verification and an accessible record within the IRIS 2.0 system.<\/p>\n<p>The system\u2019s secure, multi-step workflow allows taxpayers to generate PSIDs, complete payments through ADC channels, and receive CPRs in real time, ensuring seamless compliance management within IRIS.<\/p>\n<p>Aisha Farooq, Director General (IT &amp; DT) inaugurated the ePayment system at PRAL Headquarters in Islamabad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched a new payment creation system, ePayment 2.0, within the IRIS 2.0 portal.
