{"id":56503,"date":"2024-11-18T18:48:06","date_gmt":"2024-11-18T13:48:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=56503"},"modified":"2024-11-18T18:48:22","modified_gmt":"2024-11-18T13:48:22","slug":"section-144-imposed-in-islamabad-amid-pti-protest-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/section-144-imposed-in-islamabad-amid-pti-protest-rally\/","title":{"rendered":"Section 144 imposed in Islamabad amid PTI protest rally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The administration has imposed Section 144 in the federal capital and banned all kinds of political and religious gatherings.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Commissioner has issued a notification saying that there will be a complete ban on holding political and religious gatherings.<\/p>\n<p>The notification further states that legal action will be taken against those violating <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pti-protests-in-major-cities-against-proposed-judicial-package-despite-section-144\/\">Section 144<\/a> in the capital.<\/p>\n<p>The decision comes at a time when the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/top-pti-leaders-released-after-brief-arrest-outside-adiala-jail\/\">PTI<\/a>) has announced to hold a major protest rally in Islamabad on November 24 (Sunday).<\/p>\n<p>The rally aims to record its protest against the recently passed 26th Constitutional Amendment, raise voice for judicial independence and urge the government to release political prisoners including Imran Khan.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, PTI leaders have reiterated their resolve to hold a peaceful political rally, adding that the government should stay away from creating obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>Imran Khan\u2019s sister Aleema Khan claimed that the former prime minister had given a final call for the November 24 protest, after which preparations for the rally began.<\/p>\n<p>She said that the protest would continue until her demands were met.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif had termed the protest as a final and decisive move by the PTI.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the PTI founder said in a social media message that participation in the protest rally would determine who would remain in the party.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The administration has imposed Section 144 in the federal capital and banned all kinds of political and religious gatherings.
