{"id":56616,"date":"2024-11-19T19:15:18","date_gmt":"2024-11-19T14:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=56616"},"modified":"2024-11-19T19:15:18","modified_gmt":"2024-11-19T14:15:18","slug":"seven-kidnapped-police-officers-rescued-in-bannu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/seven-kidnapped-police-officers-rescued-in-bannu\/","title":{"rendered":"Seven kidnapped police officers rescued in Bannu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BANNU: <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/seven-police-personnel-abducted-from-check-post-in-bannu-kp\/\">Seven policemen<\/a> who were kidnapped from the Atmanzai check post were rescued on Tuesday after successful negotiations by the local jirga.<\/p>\n<p>The District Police Officer (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/dig-malakand-dpo-swat-dismissed-from-posts-over-mala-jabba-incident\/\">DPO<\/a>) confirmed that all the abductees were rescued after the prompt intervention of the local jirga.<\/p>\n<p>The policemen were safely released after the kidnapping incident at the Atmanzai check post as a result of the prompt action of the jirga.<\/p>\n<p>Armed men stormed a police check post in Bannu and kidnapped seven policemen on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the police, 30 to 40 armed men attacked a police check post in the Atmanzai area of \u200b\u200bBannu and kidnapped seven officers on duty. The attackers also took away police weapons and other equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The kidnapping was saved by four policemen who were not present there at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, four people, including a tribal leader, were killed in an attack by unknown assailants in the Jani Khel area of \u200b\u200bBannu district.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, the vehicle was targeted by unknown assailants, resulting in the death of four people and injuries to others, including a woman and a child.<\/p>\n<p>Police said in their initial statement that the deceased have been identified as Malik Shoudi Khan, Ajab Khan and Ajmal.
