{"id":56669,"date":"2024-11-20T13:32:39","date_gmt":"2024-11-20T08:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=56669"},"modified":"2024-11-20T13:32:39","modified_gmt":"2024-11-20T08:32:39","slug":"ibcc-introduces-new-grading-system-for-matric-intermediate-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/ibcc-introduces-new-grading-system-for-matric-intermediate-students\/","title":{"rendered":"IBCC introduces new grading system for matric, intermediate students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/grace-marks-for-matric-inter-exams-increased-across-pakistan\/\">Inter Boards Coordination Commission<\/a> (IBCC) introduces a new grading system for matric and intermediate students in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new grading formula, the IBCC has approved an increase in the grace marks\u00a0from three to five, raising <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/grace-marks-for-matric-inter-exams-increased-across-pakistan\/\">passing marks<\/a> to 40 against 33 in the past.<\/p>\n<p>According to the IBCC, teachers can now provide\u00a0five<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/grace-marks-for-matric-inter-exams-increased-across-pakistan\/\"> grace mark<\/a>s to push the candidate to 40 marks, in contrast to the previous three grace marks to pass the candidate.<\/p>\n<p>The decision will be applied to matriculation and intermediate examination results across the country from the 2025 examinations.<\/p>\n<p>The grace marks can be given in a maximum of two subjects, however, in case of failure of the candidate in any third subject, the teacher will not be permitted to provide marks.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/fbise-approves-new-grading-system-other-boards-to-follow-suit\/\">New Grading System\u00a0<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>As per the new policy, students scoring 95% or above will be awarded an A++ grade (5.0 GPA), while those scoring between 90% and 94% will receive an A+ grade (4.7 GPA). A grade (4.3 GPA) will be awarded to the percentage between 85% to 89%<\/p>\n<p>If a student gets 80-84%, he\/she will be awarded a B++ grade (4.0 GPA), 75-79% will receive a B+ (3.7 GPA), 70-74% will get a B (3.3 GPA), and 60-69% will get C (3.0 GPA).<\/p>\n<p>The student getting a percentage below 40% will be considered a failure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) introduces a new grading system for matric and intermediate students in Pakistan.
