{"id":56886,"date":"2024-11-22T14:50:51","date_gmt":"2024-11-22T09:50:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=56886"},"modified":"2024-11-22T14:50:51","modified_gmt":"2024-11-22T09:50:51","slug":"bushra-bibis-non-bailable-arrest-warrants-issued-in-190m-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/bushra-bibis-non-bailable-arrest-warrants-issued-in-190m-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Bushra Bibi&#8217;s non-bailable arrest warrants issued in \u00a3190m case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI: An accountability court on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/featured\/bushra-bibi-blames-saudi-arabia-for-imran-khans-ouster-from-power\/\">Bushra Bibi<\/a>, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, in connection with the \u00a3190 million settlement case.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Nasir Javed Rana instructed police to arrest the former first lady and present her before the court on November 26.<\/p>\n<p>A trial court judge issued the arrest warrants for Bushra Bibi for her continued absence from the case&#8217;s proceedings for at least eight hearings being heard at Rawalpindi&#8217;s Adiala Jail.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, Bushra Bibi&#8217;s lawyers sought an exemption for his client from today&#8217;s proceeding on a medical basis, citing a report from Peshawar\u2019s Lady Reading Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>However, the NAB official raised objections, stating that Bibi&#8217;s medical reports were issued by a hospital in Peshawar, while the notary attestation was done in Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, both Imran Khan and Bushra failed to submit their statement under Section 342 of CrPC, 1898.
